Accounts Payable Clerk

Randstad is currently seeking qualified candidates for upcoming Accounts Payable positions in the Birmingham area. The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to process overhead payables and bank activity, and assist the accounting department with general accounting and administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

-Maintains appropriate and accurate computer-based and paper files for accounts payable

-Review and process invoices and check requests

-Sort and match invoices and check requests

-Resolve invoice / account discrepancies

-Communicate with vendors regarding account status and inquiries

-Produce appropriate associated reports

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

-Must be proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeachTree, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics/ Great Plains

-Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

-Knowledge of accounts payable concepts, practices, and procedures

Qualifications:

*2+ years of accounting support or AP experience required

*Knowledge of accounting principles

*College degree preferred
