Investment Research Analyst

Randstad have partnered with a top tier Boston-Based hedge fund manager who is looking to hire an entry level Investment Analyst to join their Operations Analysis team. You will be performing creative investment research on all current and future projects.

location: Boston, Massachusetts

job type: Permanent

salary: $65,000 - 75,000 per year

work hours: 9 to 5

education: Bachelor's degree

experience: 1 Years


  • Investment research:

  • Searching for primary source documents to be used for investment analysis.

  • Reading and summarizing financial news and documents

  • Highlighting economically significant portions of documents

  • Investigating trends and investments of competitors in the hedge fund space

  • Using subscription resources (e.g. GLG) and free resources (e.g. LinkedIn, internet searches, etc.) to creatively identify and connect relevant contacts (research analysts, company management, industry participants, etc.) with the investing team as part of their research process

  • Working on long-term research projects and making calls to companies, analysts, and other external parties


  • Strong academic credentials and the desire to work with academically-oriented colleagues

  • Ability to work on multiple open-ended projects

  • No work experience required, but relevant skills and prior experience will be taken into consideration
