Project Coordinator

Permanent position: Project Coordinator near Buford, GA at a leading global manufacturer of food processing and automation equipment. This position is responsible to ensure that processing equipment/parts are delivered at the customer's location on time in conformity with the specifications. To be considered - a Technical degree with at least three (3) years' experience coordinating capital projects within a manufacturing or food processing environment. Relocation assistance is provided. Responsibilities for the Project Coordinator

  • Ensures that machines and production lines are delivered at the customer's location on time in conformity with the specifications, quality, and any other conditions

  • Coordinates the tasks necessary for the successful implementation of a new project beginning with installation budget through to transfer of the project to the service department

  • Responsible for drawing up, coordinating and guarding project plans including installation budgets and financials

  • Attends weekly production meetings to ensure production schedules are being met

  • Coordinates with service the required skill level and number of service techs for installations

  • Ensures that the service techs receive complete project manuals and have sufficient time to properly prepare for the installations

Requirements for the Project Coordinator

  • Four years degree is required (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience coordinating capital projects within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience in the food processing or related industry is preferred (poultry or food industry experience is coveted)

  • Ability to read and understand technological and engineering standards, processes, layouts, and blueprints

  • Ability to make cost estimations and re-calculations of projects

  • Strong communication skills
