What will you be doing?
You'll be focused on the general ledger, supporting an accounting group that has recently been acquired, partnering with a manager in Virginia and working with a team of 10 based out of state.
You will handle a traditional general ledger functions such as working through month-end, handling the related reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
You will assist with the transition from the acquired company to corporate, acquired company is a $1B+ organization
You may have some travel out of state, but this will be minimal.
What are the requirements?
A bachelors degree in accounting, finance or other business related field is strong preferred. Consideration may be given for related work experience.
5+ years in a general ledger focused role for a larger ($50M+) organization
Experience working for a government contract organization is required
Technical skills - SAP is required (subledger used is Compass and ledger is Lighthouse) along with intermediate to advanced Excel
Teamwork is essential!
Being able to go with the flow, understand there could be changing priorities and switching gears is required.
