Summary:

The contractor will work with the CICS support groups on normalizing the CICS/RACF definitions. Our client has over 130 CICS regions in their production environment and over 150 in their development/QA/stress environment.

responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with resource owners to determine which users should have access to which of the owned resources and at what level

  • Generate RACF commands to affect the remediation, including the addition of any new groups, user connections to the new groups, permits of the groups to the resources, and deletes of permits of no longer permitted groups and users

  • Secure CICS regions appropriately and to prevent CICS user's transaction from running under the CICS Userid

  • Work with the CICS support groups on normalizing the CICS/RACF definitions

qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of how RACF works and is configured

  • TSO/ISPF skills

  • REXX skills

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • CICS knowledge

skills: Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) and minimum of six years of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications.

  • In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted.
