VP - Private Markets, Risk

Randstad Professionals is looking for a qualified Vice President of Private Markets to join one of the largest institutional investment managers in the world. The firm offers infrastructure, real estate, private equity, liquid strategies and multi-asset investments. The ideal candidate can sit in Cleveland, OH or New York, NY.

  • Designing, continuously improving and implementing the firm's enterprise-wide risk framework

  • Execute investment compliance processes including monitoring, resolution and reporting of compliance breaches for private markets investment activities

  • Monitor and escalate risks generated by private markets investment teams in their investment processes including controls, segregation of duties, process design and fraudulent activity

  • Assist the firm with effectively identifying, analyzing and managing their business' operational, strategic and emerging risk

  • Ensure all risks are managed appropriately across the first and second line of defense

  • Developing and managing internal audit and insurance programs

  • Regularly present to external clients during upfront and ongoing due diligence


  • Degree in Math, Finance or Economics. MBA preferred

  • Experience in risk management with experience in the application of investment governance and compliance principles

  • Deep understanding of Private Markets

  • Detailed understanding of USA SEC requirements for RIAs

  • Passionate about contributing to mature and modern risk culture
