Our client in the Greater Collegeville, PA area is currently seeking a veteran Product Engineer to join their growing business. This great opportunity is Direct Hire. The role's salary is dependent upon the skills and experience the candidate with a range of $60-80,000 annually. The required criteria of a candidate to be considered is experience programming CNC machines and 10 years as a Product Engineer (not a Drafting Engineer) for a millwork, kitchen or bath company with extensive knowledge of cabinetry and display construction. Take new product design concepts created by sales, ownership or other personnel and put into production by producing fabrication drawings, programming CNC equipment and production systems, creating bills of material and source references; oversee the entire development process for new and existing product lines; assure engineering designs are always in compliance with appropriate internal and external standards, regulations, and procedures.
Create AutoCAD and/or Inventor 3D models of furniture and fixture components and assembly drawings.
Interface with ERP and production software regularly.
Manage key internal quality issues. Prioritize and resolve any product integrity issues in a timely manner.
Work closely with Manufacturing to assure sufficient engineering support for resolution of manufacturing issues.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Knowledgeable in cabinet, furniture or fixture construction with an understanding of applicable design requirements, codes and standards
Demonstrated history of leading and overseeing the design and manufacture of multipart assemblies while meeting deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Experienced with industry specific production software
Expert level proficiency with AutoCAD software, experience with Inventor a plus
Knowledge of crystal reports a plus
Strong business acumen, including experience with job costing and tracking systems
Must be able to read and understand floorplans
Knowledge of standard industry tolerances
Ability to communicate with all levels within and outside the organization
Excellent project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills
Passion for creating innovative and quality products
Excellent verbal & written communication as well as the ability to present complex information in an easily understood, clear and concise manner
Bachelor?s degree in Engineering
Minimum of at least ten (10) years of experience in a Product Engineer role within the millwork, kitchen/bath or furniture manufacturing industries; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous bench experience with casework/millwork desired
Prior CNC/CAD CAM programming experience, required
