Our client, an event center, has a PART-TIME position for a Cook or salad prep that will support a local event venue.

Hours & Pay:

  • $9.00 to $10.00 depending on experience

  • Hours vary according to needs of the events. Our events are generally nights and weekends, with every weekend being mandatory during hockey season.

Responsibilities:

Typical Duties:

1) Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.

2) Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.

3) Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.

4) Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.

Working hours: 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Qualifications:

Prefer experience working a fry grill and deep fryers and line experience. Experience with industrial kitchen equipment a plus.

Must be able to commit to working weekends and nights since that is when the majority of our events are booked.

Need to have at least 1 year recent kitchen, grill, fry, or line experience
