Patient Account Representative

A well established medical office is seeking an experienced Patient Account Representative to join their team in Kirkland. Position will require scheduling of appointments, the coordination of referrals and orders in addition to prioritizing the order of care between patients and staff members. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities:

--Greet patients and their caregivers and records pertinent information into a computer database.

--Recording of insurance information in addition to obtaining pre-approval for treatment if needed.

--Prioritizes the order of care with the most critical patients being seen first.

--Keeps paper and electronic medical records and updates these records as needed.

--Provides information to insurance companies in order to assist with billing.

--Assist patients during checkout in addition to ensuring they have post-treatment instructions if required.

--Refers individuals to outside agencies when unable to meet their needs.

--Calculates payment information, accepts funds and credit accounts accordingly.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

--Is compassionate and caring as the job involves interacting with people who are critically ill or injured.

--Able to maintain confidentially.

--Possesses an understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
