Quality Assurance / Control

Are you looking for an exciting new career with a growing company located in West Knoxville? Randstad Staffing, the largest staffing agency in Knoxville, is recruiting for a direct hire opportunity with room for advancement. The hours are first shift - 7:00am-4:00pm, and pay is dependent upon experience.


This organization is ISO:9001:2015 certified and employs approximately 60 staff. We are conveniently located in Knoxville, TN.

The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a key role from new product development to post-sale success within the Quality Management system. Will be responsible for assuring quality in all phases of the manufacturing process from suppliers to customers and for preventing defects through problem analysis and effective corrective actions. This position will interact with internal and external contacts; reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is part of a 2-person team.


Partner in problem solving-root cause analysis-corrective actions

Utilize preventative quality techniques to improve product quality, reduce in-line defects, and reduce scrap.

Lead Corrective Action activities and communicate to the customer as required.

Responsible for resolving all internal, customer and supplier quality problem reports

Responsible for creating, training and leading the Operator Self-Acceptance Program

Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions

Performing deep analysis of products: packaging, circuit hardware, and software

Support Supplier Selection and supplier development as well as helping to develop a supplier quality manual

Responsible for development and implementation of supplier dock-to-stock program.

Responsible for coordinating First Article Inspections

Partner with engineering and manufacturing to develop detailed test plans to evaluate new suppliers, parts, materials, and assemblies

Maintain documentation of equipment maintenance and calibrations for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 including internal and external audits;

Assist in internal auditing and maintenance of compliance to ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standard

Responsible for maintaining the companys ESD program to include maintenance of the ESD equipment.

Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results

Develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and Quality Check Sheets.

Provide management with detailed quality reports as required daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM


Required Skills:

Proficient in use of microscope, solder equipment, and various measurement devices

Interpret product drawings and technical standards in order to develop and implement quality controls and product check methods

Spatial and Mechanical aptitude

Solder Inspect / Repair

Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Self-starter with excellent time management skills plus the ability to prioritize & thoroughly complete tasks timely

Good verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to communicate through technical reports and presentations

Possess a willingness to learn

Be skilled at working independently and within a team setting

Desired Skills:

IPC Certification highly desired

Quality Control/Assurance experience is a plus

ISO 9001 quality management system experience is a plus






Experience & Educational Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar type role; within the 5 years, have a minimum of 1-2 years in an electronic manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have a proven ability to troubleshoot down to the root cause and clearly articulate recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate with manufacturing, suppliers and customers on quality issues and root cause determination.


A minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar type degree is required; Bachelor's Degree is desired.
