Project Engineer

Permanent position: Electrical Project Engineer-Milwaukee, WI- Our steel client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer out of an industrial work environment. Client is looking for 7 + years of Project MGMT and high voltage experience (In the KV's). Candidate must be willing to travel 50% of the time between the two plants of Cleveland, OH and Milwaukee, WI. Client is offering a strong culture, $90 K- $125 K base + quarterly bonus up to 7%, relocation assistance ($3,000-$5,000) and full benefits.

Responsibilities for the Project Engineer

  • Lead the development and deployment of electrical based projects and initiatives

  • Lead the division strategy in making the correct electrical decisions based on solid evaluation practices

  • Partner with the individual plant sites to review and develop an economical design and implementation of plant enhancement and expansion projects

  • Partner with division operations and engineering teams to develop and ensure adherence to electrical standardization and best practices

  • Act as liaison between plant project managers and outside contractors to provide optional electrical systems solutions

  • Relate well to individuals and stakeholders thought-out the organization, teaching and coaching others on the best way to tackle electrical based projects

  • Manage resources, both internal and external, and direction for all phases of strategic initiative projects.

Requirements for the Project Engineer

  • Must have a B.S.E.E. or B.S.E.T. or B.S.E.E.T.

  • Seven plus years' experience in industrial electrical engineering, heavily focused on mid to high voltage power applications and distribution systems in a manufacturing environment

  • Must have electrical capital project experience

  • Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLC's and motors

  • Proven project management skills in with experience in leading multiple projects at various levels

  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Must be willing to work between Milwaukee, WI and Cleveland, OH

  • Leadership experience in working with and leading cross functional teams

  • $90 K- $130 K + quarterly profit sharing, small lump sum of relocation assistance and full benefits
