Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join a logistics company within the New Hyde Park area. This is a full-time permanent position with a schedule from M-F 9:00am-5:00pm offering a competitive salary and benefits including a 401K profit sharing program!

Responsibilities:

-Prepare, maintain and calculate customer contracts

-Adjust billing for accounts

-Consult with tax department for the billing of new customers

-Determines and executes changes to existing contract

-Complete purchase orders

-Follow up on financial paperwork

-Calculate accruals

-Post journal entries

-Produce income statements

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Bachelors

Experience:

Entry Level

Qualifications:

-MUST possess excellent Word and Excel capabilities. Job duties consist of creating formulas, Lookups, and Vlookups

-1-3 years of bookkeeping, accounting or relevant experience

-Experience and understanding of accruals, journal entries, working with the general ledger as well as reconciliations and closings
