Electrical Design Engineer

Permanent position: Exciting new opportunity with an expanding private engineering firm seeking an Electrical Engineer for their Oklahoma City, OK office. Qualified candidates must have at least 7 years experience in electrical design of commercial, industrial, educational, and/or institutional facilities & experience with AutoCAD and Revit/BIM. Strong preference for P.E. license. Relocation assistance provided. No sponsorship or transfers offered.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Design Engineer

  • Responsible for design and engineering of building power, lighting and low voltage systems

  • Responsible for evaluation of existing electrical systems and report preparation

  • Responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects and presentation to clients

  • Attending Client/Owner meetings and project development and project management

  • Supervision of design and drafting staff management of project budget

Requirements for the Electrical Design Engineer

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

  • Must have at least 7 years of experience in electrical design of commercial, industrial, educational and institutional facilities

  • Experience with Power Systems analysis and protective device coordination and site power distribution, building power distribution, lighting design, grounding systems and fire alarm device layout as well as a familiarity with Medium Voltage and telecommunications design

  • Must have experience with AUTOCAD and Revit/BIM

  • Desirable to have Professional Engineering license

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact and comfort with business development activities
