TIER 2 IT HELPDESK TEAM MEMBER

We are a large Florida based insurance firm that caters to home, auto and property insurance needs. Our entire corporate office team has expanded recently and we are looking to add a new TIER 2 Helpdesk Support Specialists to our growing IT Team. We need this person to have TWO THINGS to qualify...

  1. COMP TIA A+ or obtain this certification within 30-days of employment

  2. NEED PRIOR CALL CENTER / TECH SUPPORT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

The Helpdesk members are responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Team members respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions to get our staff back on track with any IT issues they may be having. Our salary range is $43K-$45k depending on amount of experience you bring to the table.

MONDAY-FRIDAY 9:00 AM TO 6:00 PM

$43,000 TO $45,000 SALARY

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.

Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.

Ask questions to determine nature of problem.

Walk customer through problem-solving process.

Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

Clean up computers.

Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.

Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.

Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:

  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.

  • Install computer peripherals for users.

  • Write training manuals.

  • Train computer users.

  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.

Qualifications:

NEED COMP TIA A+ FOR THIS POSITION

NEED PRIOR CALL-CENTER OR TECH SUPPORT CENTER EXPERIENCE

Comptia N+ Cert or equivalent is a plus

3+ years working help desk and experience with Help Desk applications and ticketing systems

Knowledge of Jira Service Desk is a plus

Proven customer service skills

Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

High level problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and within a team
