This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to continue to expand your BANKING CAREER! The Branch Operations Consultant will support Branch Network with Risk Management internal initiatives that are consistent with Regulatory objectives. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Completes Quality Control reviews, as assigned, and documents findings on the state of the branch within the Quality Control document.

-Ensures that exceptions which may cause a retail office to be at risk are escalated to the appropriate Management personnel and follows through on all corrective actions to satisfactory completion.

-Ensures branches maintain adequate controls to minimize operating losses. Identifies and analyzes loss trends, develops loss profiles, and recommends a course of action for improvement when losses exceed acceptable thresholds.

-Assists branch staff in answering questions in related areas that may exceed their knowledge/skill levels.

Reviews branch audits and assists branches in resolving any outstanding issues.

-Works with Branch Management in their achievement of an acceptable internal audit rating by performing branch assessments and recommending improvement when necessary.

-Informs Branch, Regional and Senior Management, as applicable, of all risk situations or concerns as it pertains to the overall operating status of each office

-Actively participates in the operational staff meetings to discuss operational issues, trends in the marketplace, customer service and referrals.

-Assists in recommending, developing, and implementing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and achieve set objectives.

-Develops informational and/or training material to provide branch staff with a clearer understanding of financial risk management and compliance issues.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM*

Available to travel (3-4)x?s per week and rotate within San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles Area, Orange County, San Diego and Desert Regions

-Ability to perform high level branch audit reviews that are consistent with Risk Management initiatives and regulatory standards

-Must possess thorough knowledge of methods, practices and terminology of overall retail banking operations and regulations in addition to have an understanding of the business account opening process, including small business

-Strong knowledge of acceptable standards for the overall operating environment of a retail office as well as knowledge of retail products, services, and back office operations.

-Demonstrated ability and skill manage results: Situation analysis, planning, organizing, problem solving/decision-making, security procedures, and goal achievement

-Ability to coordinate and complete diverse tasks effectively, in addition to possessing the ability to direct/motivate others to achieve desired results.






  • College Degree required BS and/or BA

  • Prior BRANCH OPERATIONS Experience required

  • Minimum (5) years direct experience in a retail banking environment with emphasis on retail


  • Minimum (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity

  • Experience completing branch control testing and review of business accounts is preferred

  • Advanced Expert level Excel and Microsoft Office

  • Effective communicator written and verbal

  • Relationship/Team Building

  • Analytical skills required

  • Resolve audit related items in accordance with regulatory standards

-Ensure accurate and timely deliverables

  • Display etiquette, knowledge and solutions surrounding banking products and services
