Warehouse Manager

Are you looking for a direct hire position with a locally owned business that focuses in large motor repairs? Randstad has partnered with a company just like this to find a great shop manager to start work ASAP!

Responsibilities:

Provide on the floor supervision and training with the expectation that 50% your time will be out on the floor and available to assist floor employees and help keep them productive and maintain quality. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority.

Provide communication and clear direction to employees to meet or exceed expectations in all aspects of the business. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority.

Maintain department efficiency of 95 % billable hours when comparing quoted hours versus actual hours. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority.

Perform invoice edits prior to review, utilizing this as an opportunity for the employees to learn.

Perform final quality inspections for apparatus finished and/or shipped during your shift, prior to sending the item to the shipping staging area. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority.

To be proficient in the use of ACS that will enable you to create jobs and paperwork, look up jobs and inventory items, schedule work in ACS. Develop a working knowledge of Micro Soft Word and Excel.

Lead shop to achieve our warranty goal of 0.5% and rework of less than 3.0%. All warranty and rework to have a root cause analysis completed with actions implemented into the process to assure the problem does not occur again. The customer complaint / improvement form will be used to track these and to notify the Director of Operations and the Account Manager.

Assure that we meet customer specifications.

Make sure the flow of work goes through all stages of repair.

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Skills:

--Must be able to make sure safety is always a high priority while performing work.

--Need to utilize computerized scheduling system; review list and assign personnel to the listed jobs according to their skill set. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority. Prior to posting, total hours and compare to available hours in ratio form.

--Need to wuote repairs and/or assist with the quotation process.

--Must be able to lead and develop personnel in the motor shop to meet or exceed the job performance expectations for the class of each person. Assist with the ongoing training program that should cover the EASA modules, equipment, customer specifications and standard operating procedures. This item is considered critical to our operation and should receive top priority.

--Need to manage calibration of equipment schedule. For shipments of shop equipment to be calibrated, enter the purchase order and /or job in ACS with the proper account number assigned to it for accounting purposes.

--Efficiency in coordination of equipment, parts and staff for service department.
