Randstad is currently looking for an experience CMM Technician for an Automotive Manufacturer in Richmond, Ky. The ideal candidates will be able to successfully operates coordinate measuring equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machine, Optical Comparator, Laser Scanner, Portable Arm or other measuring equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive benefits packages included.
Reads and interprets blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerance specifications, datum structure for CMM programming and part holding/inspections
Activates digital readout equipment, and records specified measurements
Determines best measuring device and method to use (situational) per CAD and blueprint requirements.
Creates dimensional and capability reports
Performs capability studies, gage repeatability studies, gage calibrations
Working hours: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Understanding and interpretation of GD&T
Basic understanding and use of CAD
Experience in Blue Print Reading, Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years related experience and/or training
