Operations Manager - Showroom and Warehouse

Randstad is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a Manufacturing company located in South St. Petersburg, FL

Hours: Monday thru Friday - 6:30AM to 5PM

Pay: $60,000-$70,000/year (based on experience) There will be the opportunity for monthly bonuses and possibly quarterly bonuses

Location: St. Petersburg, FL 33714

The primary responsibility for this position is managing the retail store, showroom, and the delivery drivers. The Operations Manager will be working closely with Purchasing and the company's VP. This is a small, family owned company who is seeking a candidate that is extremely driven, has great attention to detail and is from the Pinellas County area to avoid any commuting issues.

Responsibilities:

-Plans and prepares work schedules for the delivery drivers

  • Responsible for the drivers DOT

  • Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays and advertising copy

  • Ensure compliance for security, sales and recordkeeping policies/practices

  • Manage shipments of UPS and FedEX

  • Formulate pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for profitability of store operations

  • Oversees truck loading and route preparation for all drivers

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees as well as planning, assigning and directing work

  • Taking inventory, overseeing inventory, keeping operating records, preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant

  • Prior experience with budgeting, project management, delegation, strategic thinking and problem solving

Working hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

-Able to read, write and comprehend instructions in English

-Able to calculate figures and amounts - basic Algebra and Geometry

-Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

-Able to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and general public

-Knowledge of Accounting software, HR systems, Database software, Payroll systems, Project Management systems and Microsoft Office programs

Qualifications:

-3 to 5 years experience as an Operations Manager

-Willing to train a candidate who has similar experience that demonstrates great attention to detail and is a driven individual

-Prior experience in retail is preferred but not required

-Bachelors Degree or 1-2 years training is preferred

-Certified forklift would be preferred, but is not required

-Able to regularly lift up to 50lbs
