Our client, a world's leader in aerospace gear, is growing leaps and bounds in 2019 and is adding the crucial role of Planner/Scheduler to their Production Team. As a manufacturer of high quality and complex parts and sub assemblies for both commercial and military applications, they are positioning themselves to continue to grow their reputation and footprint.
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the timely release of various manufacturing documents to generate material demand, and manpower and work center requirements. They will liaise with other departments to ensure both technical and customer requirements are being accurately captured, communicated and executed in production. The Production Planner/Scheduler will assist with the planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle. Will also coordinate the movement of materials through production with materials planning, procurement and supply chain staff.
? Timely release of manufacturing documentation that provides instruction required to manufacture our products of the various shop functions. Documents include work order routers, material cut sheets, drawings and bill of materials, burnout templates, and other miscellaneous items.
? Proactively identify potential production problems, develop solutions and implement them to resolve or prevent a problem.
? Work with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales and other departments for specific accountabilities relevant to the end goal
? Responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory.
? Responsible for determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods, including safety stock levels.
? The sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by month, for a rolling three-month period.
? Strong collaboration with the Finance, Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Management will be critical to meeting business goals.
? Create a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan for designated products.
? Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times.
? Perform supply - demand analysis each quarter, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.
? Make delivery commitments on products, which involve checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
-- Familiarity with machining, and assembly practices.
-- Excellent oral communication skills.
-- Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical drawings.
-- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures for planning functions.
-- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications- Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook
? ITAR Compliant
? High school diploma (degree preferred but not required)
? Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-level Planning/Scheduling that supports high mix low volume manufacturing
? Prior experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment
? Experience with using industry standard manufacturing ERP systems; Profit Key preferred but not required
