Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk

job summary:

Looking for your next opportunity? Our client is a non-profit accelerator and philanthropic partner who is dedicated to build a world of shared prosperity and social justice. They are currently searching for an Accounts Payable clerk to assist them on their journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with external vendors and internal business partners to resolve inquiries; perform necessary research and resolution of open items.

  • Manage one-time payments, payment void requests, and other payment-related inquiries.

  • Accurate data entry skills on Netsuite

  • Ability to process weekly check runs

  • Implement and/or coordinate Netsuite system enhancements and ongoing or new projects.

  • Prepare monthly AP expense report related accruals and reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly bank and AP aging reconciliation, analysis, and follow-up.

  • Manage annual 1099 reporting.

  • Manage internal and external audit requests.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities, tasks, and ad hoc projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months to a year of Accounts Payable experience.

  • Experience with Netsuite preferred.

  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Accurate and detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Positive attitude, team player, and ability to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a dynamic and growing business environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the proven ability to analyze processes and suggest/implement continuous improvements.
