Executive Video Producer

job summary:

New video team is seeking a highly skilled producer to create imaginative, conceptual videos for products in development. Our team makes speculative internal "ads" for products and functionalities that don't exist... yet. Our mission is to unite internal stakeholders around a common vision, explore how regular humans might use the products, and "sell" the product to Leadership in order to secure buy-in and budget.

salary: $63 - 66 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Meet with engineering teams to understand their proposed products

  • Assist in forming a creative vision for a human story around the product

  • Create storyboards/shooting scripts as needed

  • Organize and schedule shoots and edits

  • Set up lighting and audio equipment as needed

  • Shooting as needed

  • Troubleshoot problems that arise during production

  • Occasionally draw upon stock footage library to integrate into final videos

  • Work with video editor to ensure your creative vision is conveyed

  • Communicate with engineering teams regarding rough cuts and feedback

  • Deliver final videos on time

qualifications:

  • Your demo reel

  • Creative storytelling

  • Enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology

  • At least five years experience in video production

  • Attention to detail while managing simultaneous projects

  • Written and verbal communication with non-creative internal clients

skills:

  • Calm and positivity in the face of ambiguity

  • Directing performers who are usually not professional actors (often the "actors" are colleagues or volunteers from the engineering teams.)
