Director of Accounting

job summary:

Pre-IPO biotech company on the mid-peninsular is looking for a Director of Accounting. You will serve as an integral part of the management team and will report directly to the VP Finance. The Director will be responsible for the general and transactional accounting activities for the US entity and the international subsidiaries, inclusive of the general ledger, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, credit card program, capitalized assets, liability recognition, and the related internal controls associated with the accounting activities. The Director will also be responsible for the accounting related to clinical trial.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month end close

  • Oversee GL and financial reporting

  • Manage AP team

  • Oversee credit card program and expense reimbursement

  • System integration

  • Manage annual audit

Requirement for Director of Accounting position:

BS degree

CPA

10+ years public and private industry experience

Experience with biotech industry a plus
