Human Resources Generalist

My client, a major warehouse, design and planning company located in Santa Fe Springs, CA is looking for an experience HR Generalist to join their team. The ideal candidate will come to the table with new ideas and an eager attitude to bring value to the organization. The company has over 65 years in their industry and are a major player. Responsibilities:

Our agency is in search of an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

  • Implement and administer employee policies

  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues

  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience

  • Offer proactive recruiting assistance

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates

  • Identify ways to improve policies and procedures

  • Prepare termination and severance letters

  • Train and provide support to HR team members

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday Through Friday

Skills:

  • 3-5 years' experience in HR

  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes

  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations

  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion

  • Familiarity with MS Office suite

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Staffing industry experience is a plus

  • Benefits, Workers Comp, and LOA experience is a must

  • Be able to bring new ideas to the table to improve work place efficiency
