Human Resources Generalist

A local medical research organization is looking for a passionate and customer-service oriented HR Generalist who will serve as a primary point of contact for all general HR System questions and password issues (HRIS, Performance Management, Learning Management.) This position is also responsible for leading and implementing HR policies, procedures and forms; you will also monitor and make recommendations to executive management on the same.



-Leads and implements HR policies and procedures; monitors and makes recommendations to executive management

-Primary point of contact for all general HR System questions and password issues. Ensures that all information maintained in the systems for employee use or reference is current, accurate and relevant

-Develop, facilitate and lead employee training as needed. Participate in onboarding, new hire, policies, etc.,

-Manages and tracks absences/leave of absence, worker's compensation program and UIC claims including prep of disability/leave paperwork

-Identifies and clarifies problems to improve manager and employee performance. Evaluates potential solutions and implements selected solution. Coaches and counsels managers and employees

-Assist with all employee changes (new hire, transfers, terminations, salary increases, promotions, etc.,)

-Deliver and track HR Metrics including census, headcount, turnover, cost-to-fill, time-to-hire, etc.,

-Prepares benefit packets and conducts orientation on the same. Assists with annual open enrollment process

-Assist with benefit problem resolution

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


-Ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running

-Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

-Proficiency with HRIS (ADP Workforce Now or HRB)

-Excellent customer service ability






-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources

-Minimum of 2 years of relevant on the job experience

-PHR or SPHR or SHRM designation(s) are a plus

-High volume recruiting experience, benefits training and working knowledge of employment laws
