3rd Shift Quality Technician
Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and
implement solutions. Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the
points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Use logic
and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or
approaches to problems. Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to
make improvements or take corrective action.Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work
related documents. Talk to others to convey information effectively.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material
Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events
Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards
Judging the Qualities of Things, Services, or People
Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings
Performing General Physical Activities
Weigh finished products.
Analyze test results.
Collect samples of materials or products for testing.
Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards.
Evaluate quality of materials or products.
Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to
Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials
Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
Test chemical or physical characteristics of materials or products.
Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
Communicating effectively with others regarding quality related issues, verbally and via email.
Maintain hold area and quality lab in a clean and organized manner.
Other Duties as assigned
Working hours: 11:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Selects products for test at specified stages in production
process, and tests for variety of qualities such as acceptable.
Identifies non-conforming product and initiates non-conforming
reports/documentation according to procedures.
Rejects non-conforming parts and notifies Shift Supervisor and
Quality Manager upon occurrence.
Scrap or quarantine non-conforming parts. Has the authority to
stop production to correct quality issues.
Performs process audits including verification of machine
parameters, materials, and operator performance according to
written work instructions.
Reacts appropriately to out of control conditions.
Perform process sign off in between stages of production.
High school Diploma or GED
Knows how to use the following:
Calibrated resistance measuring equipment
Coordinate measuring machines CMM
Enterprise resource planning ERP software
Experience with PPAP's and First Article Inspection
Force or torque sensors
Go or no go gauge
Optical character reader OCR or scanning software
Statistical process control SPC data collection devices
Thickness measuring devices
Thread counters or gauges
